This book reflects on those years of the tough "blood and guts" era of sport tournament Karate. I reflect on my successful career as a tournament fighter in the United States, Europe, and Korea. I got to know and fight those Martial Art stars that I admired. There were not many books out in the world concerning karate, but I bought all that I could find. I enjoyed my 30 plus years of karate tournament competition and I would not trade anything for the experiences that I have had. I have never looked back or thought that I should have competed more. When I walked away, I felt like I had so much valuable information to share with followers of this amazing sport.

Pat Burleson as America's karate pioneer and "Father" of all karate champions.
