In ''It Doesn't Matter'' the author, Ana Monnar, wants her readers to know that beauty comes from within, and that ''It Doesn't Matter'' if you are tall or short, thin or stout, or even if you have brown, red, or blonde hair--you are special--unique.
This reviewer and her three children highly enjoyed Monnar's children's picture book. Appropriate for any age, children are sure to learn the social situations outlined in this 24-page rhyming book--emotions & feelings, prejudice & racism, and values. ''It Doesn't Matter'' would work well with teacher learning plans and directly during classroom reading times. Day care providers and child-related organizations such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, would also benefit from reading ''It Doesn't Matter'' to children they care for.
Ana Monnar has been teaching for over 25 years--currently teaching fourth grade. This is Monnar's fifth book.
