In der didaktischen Planung von Unterricht bzw. in der Einbettung dieser Entwurfe in padagogische Rahmenuberlegungen ist Sprache jedoch auch als Medium des gedanklichen Austauschs zwischen Lehrer und Schulern zu reflektieren. Die unterrichtliche Interaktion selbst schafft die Bedingungen fur erfolgreiche oder miBlingende Umsetzungen des padagogisch und didaktisch Vorkonzipierten. Starker noch als im Normalschulbereich ist daher fur eine wissenschaftliche Fundierung des Unterrichts an Schulen fur Gehorlose und Schwerhorige zu fordern, die Be dingungen unterrichtlicher Kommunikation und Interaktion empi risch zu untersuchen. Ein solches Forschungsvorhaben war erst dann sinnvoll in Angriff zu nehmen, als sowohl das methodische als auch das rein technische Instrumentarium fur derartige Analysen zur Verfugung standen. Da die visuellen Komponenten des unterrichtlichen Informations austausches fur gehorlose Schuler dominant sind, ist es einsich tig, daB erst durch die Entwicklung avancierter audiovisueller Aufzeichnungstechniken empirische Unterrichtsforschung im Rahmen der Gehorlosenpadagogik moglich wurde.
