Illustrious for Brief Moments
Description
In this third poetry collection, Illustrious for Brief Moments offers the reader a world passionately crafted, drawing richly on both outer and inner landscapes. These poems move through seasons of heartbreak and grief, as well as compassion, connection, hope and renewal.
Evocative images of moons, canyons, rivers, and high desert spaces invite body and mind to both wrestle and revel. Podunovich's words connect emotion to landscape in a way that touches on a wildness that is deep in all of us, human and non-human alike.
Podunovich's work is an acknowledgement and a celebration of both the dark and the light, of both the doubts and the certainties that moment by moment make our lives. This is an invitation to explore poetry and art as a pathway to healing, and in a sensuous alchemy spun from the poet's heart, she delivers you "...unbound, whole, tender in the mending."
