In vier Vignetten lässt die Ich-Erzählerin Klara ihr Leben zwischen den Jahren 1979 und 2014 Revue passieren; berichtet über ihre großen Lieben und Verluste, und stellt diese immer wieder in Zusammenhang mit ihrer Arbeit zu den Weltreligionen, dem Extremismus und dem unaufhaltsamen Wandel der Zeit.
