A family gathering in the Hamptons leads to unexpected surprises.

Alice Hughes is a busy widow with two teenagers and a demanding job in New York City, but the death of Aunt Jean means her presence is required in the Hamptons. Much to everyone's surprise, the elderly aunt has left Beachcomber Winery solely to Alice, even though she doesn't know the first thing about vineyards. Alice's mother is particularly shocked given that her own decades-old rift with Aunt Jean caused strained relations with the entire Hughes clan. 

With a piece of family history at stake, Alice agrees to make it through the winery's charity event before making a decision on whether to sell. Alice isn't the only one whose life is in flux-her married sister, Chelsea, has her hands full with three kids and perfectionist tendencies that result in missed deadlines and undue stress. Her brother, Finn, and his wife, Jessica, run a successful real estate firm, but there are other achievements they'd like to unlock, if only they would get out of their own way. Her half siblings, Isabel and Freddie, also live in the city but end up spending time in the Hamptons for reasons of their own--reasons neither is inclined to share.
