Frank Deppeist Professor für Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Marburg, Vertrauensdozent der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung und Leiter der Forschungsgruppe Europäische Gemeinschaft am Institut für Politikwissenschaft. Außerdem ist er Mitherausgeber der Zeitschriften Sozialismus und Z - Zeitschrift für marxistische Erneuerung.In den 60er Jahren engagierte er sich im Sozialistischen Studentenbund und sieht sich seitdem selbst als Sozialist und Marxist. Ich werde die wichtigsten Aspekte aus Deppes Text hier wiedergeben und sowohl die bürgerlichen Staatstheorien als auch kommunistische Utopien, die von Deppe betrachtet werden, darstellen. Außerdem wird die staatstheoretische Endwicklung sowohl in Europa, speziell in England als auch in Frankreich aufgezeigt.
