Diese Arbeit verfolgt in der theoretischen Auseinandersetzung um ein Begriffsverständnis und in der empirischen Forschung einen subjektiven Ansatz. Dadurch verändert sich der wissenschaftliche Diskurs und es entsteht ein Text, der die Leserschaft stärker als gewohnt an Prozessen teilhaben lässt und sie dabei zur eigenen Positionierung anregen will. Im methodologischen Ansatz werden Bedeutung und Funktion von Ganzheitlichkeit (und Sprache) für Durchführung und Auswertung von Interviews untersucht und die Subjektivität der Forscherin reflektiert. Die Interviewsituation wird durch eine Haltung der ‚intellektuellen Liebe' (Bourdieu) charakterisiert. Die Interviews werden mittels des von der Autorin entwickelten Verfahrens der beschreibenden Mosaiksteine und des wertenden Mosaiks interpretiert. Durch die acht Einzelauswertungen der befragten Lehrerinnen und Lehrer entsteht ein individualisiertes, facettenreiches Spektrum zum Thema Ganzheitlichkeit und Sprache.
