From Wheels to Code
Description
"From Wheels to Code: How AI is Shaping the Future of Mobility" takes readers on a compelling journey through the history and future of transportation. From the invention of the wheel to the rise of artificial intelligence, this book explores how technology has revolutionized the way we move and where it's headed next.
Author Etienne Psaila delves into the critical moments in transportation history-such as the steam revolution, the birth of the automobile, and the advent of flight-while shedding light on how AI is poised to reshape mobility in the 21st century. With insightful analyses of the ethical dilemmas, environmental challenges, and cybersecurity risks that come with autonomous vehicles and AI-driven systems, Psaila addresses the question: Can we fully trust machines to take the wheel?
The book goes even further, examining the potential societal consequences of AI, including the possibility of AI-driven warfare, its impact on global democracies, and its role in strengthening or undermining totalitarian regimes. "From Wheels to Code" offers readers a thought-provoking exploration of how AI is not only transforming transportation but also influencing the future of governance and global stability.
Exploring both the promise and perils of these innovations, this book serves as a timely reflection on how AI, automation, and technology are shaping not only the future of transportation but society as a whole. Whether you're a technologist, policymaker, or just curious about the road ahead, "From Wheels to Code" is an essential guide to understanding the next frontier of human mobility-and beyond.
