Lee Habbershaw ministers at Seminars, Conferences and Training Sessions with both leaders and lay people within the Church in Australia and overseas. Her teaching has brought much understanding and release to many in the Body of Christ.
A high school teacher by profession, Lee has previously served for several years as a Year 12 Moderator with the SA Education Department, principal in two Secretarial Colleges in South Australia and for seven years she was the Director of Christian Counselling College which she co-founded with her late husband, Alan.
Lee, herself once a victim of horrific abuse, has experienced the amazing, unconditional love and mercy of God as He has healed, delivered and restored her to where she stands today as a “Trophy of His Grace”.
One day just over forty years ago the Lord Jesus Christ was wandering around in a huge rubbish dump filled with so much stuff that had been thrown away as absolutely worthless. This trash consisted of things that had no value, had no more purpose, useless and simply not wanted by anyone. Jesus was looking intently at this unwanted junk almost as though He was searching for something in particular.
Suddenly He stopped and looked intently at a little old rag doll with dirt all over its face as well as its body. The limbs were lifeless – they were just hanging from the doll’s torso. He gently bent down and picked her up and began brushing the dirt from her face. Then Jesus lovingly held this little rag doll against His chest with His loving hands. As He gently continued to hold her in His arms of love an amazing thing happened. This lifeless, unwanted doll began to come to life little by little until there was life in the limbs, a smile on its face and it looked almost like a happy, loved human being.
This is a picture of my life – a worthless, useless, unwanted person with no value, and no purpose. One who had been so hurt and was broken beyond comprehension and disregarded as trash. But one day Jesus came, healed my hurt and brokenness, cleansed me with His Blood, breathed His Life into me and poured out His love on me, claiming me as His treasure. What He did for me, He can do for you too!
