Der vorliegende Notenband enthält eine Zusammenstellung von 14 aktuellen Kompositionen für Klavier. Bei allen Kompositionen ist erkennbar, dass der Komponist auch selber Pianist ist. Die "Piano Songs" liegen nicht nur "gut in den Fingern", sondern nutzen auch auf elegante Weise die verschiedenen Klangmöglichkeiten des Instruments. So entstehen mitunter sehr gefühlvolle, oft nachdenkliche Stücke, die der Komponist in Anlehnung an Chopin gerne als "Nordic Nocturnes" bezeichnet (z.B. "Tulips and twinkles" oder "Oversliding"). Auf der anderen Seite finden sich Stücke mit vielfach ineinander verwobenen Rhythmusmustern, die viel Spielfreude und Lebendigkeit erzeugen, ohne dabei phrasenhaft zu wirken (z.B. "Novembersong", "Still there" oder "Song for Daphne").
