Exit 22
Description
Political strategist Christopher Sandige is leaving Washington, DC for a much-anticipated vacation in Florida when an automobile accident leaves him stranded at Exit 22 in North Carolina. After meeting Brenda Carnegie, a beautiful, street-wise and mysterious woman, he is pulled into the aftermath of a shocking double homicide. Now he's a fugitive on the run, racing to escape homicide detectives closing in and a sociopathic assassin determined to kill him... and time is running out.
Set in the real towns of Lumberton and Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina, the book begins with a double homicide and a sociopathic assassin that just happens to knit baby booties when he's not committing murder. As Chris tries to unravel the trouble he's stumbled into, he must decide whether to trust the woman he's beginning to fall in love with - or face the possibility she could be the killer's accomplice. The adventure will take him into the world of shell corporations, off-shore banking, ricochet schemes involving oil and gas, and a cyber expert willing to exploit it all.
