Es referiert den aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Stand aus verschiedenen Perspektiven und ist so für einen breiteren Leserkreis gedacht. Die oft gepriesene ‚Interdisziplinarität' ist gerade für die Analyse eines derartig komplexen Untersuchungsgegenstandes wie der Epilepsie eine Möglichkeit, ein „altbekanntes" Phänomen auf neue Weise zu entdecken.
