Anhela sosegar, domeñar su carácter irritable y airado avocándose a una aventura que, para su avanzada edad, no deja de ser valiente y decidida.A modo de Don Quijote y Sancho van andando los caminos y en ellos van encontrando todo tipo de tropiezos, más o menos afortunados. Don Fernando aspira a sentir la llamada del Camino y mejorar así su espíritu, por el contrario su acompañante solo busca algún beneficio material que le pueda reportar andar al lado de personaje tan conocido.Durante el trayecto las cosas no son como esperaban y se dan algunas circunstancias que les llevan a ambos por derroteros contrarios a sus aspiraciones.
