Effekt der Holocaust-Erfahrung auf die Selbstwahrnehmung von Sinti in der dritten Nachkriegsgeneration

Es zeigt sich, dass bis in die dritteNachkriegsgeneration hinein eigene Erfahrungen im Kontext der tradierten Verfolgungsgeschichten interpretiert werden. Der Effekt dieser Interpretation auf die Selbstwahrnehmung als Sinti kann in den Fallbeispielen in Teilen entschlüsselt werden.The study at hand focuses on a minority in Germany, namely the Sinti. It investigates the effects of the genocide in terms of their self-awareness, which will be put into a historical and contemporary context. The study subjects are Sinti in the third generation after the Second World War. The data used in thiscase study are extracted from interviews with the family Schwarz from Oldenburg, a city in Germany. The study within research leads to the conclusion that the subjects of the post-war era interpret their own discriminatory experiences on the background of traditional stories of the holocaust. This can lead either to a negative or positive perception of their own Sinti identity. The results contain findings of the effects that the historic framework has on the self-perception as a Sinti, which can be partly deciphered in each case example.
