Description
Hij leunde een beetje achter in de loopgraaf en keek naar de dikke rook die van de stad Duinkerken dreef.
Het was duidelijk dat daar genadeloos werd gevochten en dat de mannen in de stad het behoorlijk zwaar moesten hebben.
Met grote blauwe ogen naar de sergeant starend, kwam de jongste van het peloton naar hem toe.
Er was een smekende toon in zijn stem toen hij zei:
'Zullen we tijd hebben, brigadier?
De sergeant draaide zich niet om, maar vroeg:
"Tijd voor wat?
"Om daar te komen ...
