Doug & Stan - The Spooky Cinema
Description
Imagine you're entertaining very special guests with an outdoor movie in your garden when you suddenly come under attack from flying popcorn - spookily thrown by none other than a pair of old socks!
Out of luck, Stan is still trying to sell his house and his day isn't getting much better when he and Doug get in a bit of a flap with the laundry.
But their mood soon brightens when Real Estate Agent Paul delivers news that he's found someone who loves the movies.
And they want to turn Stan's house into a CINEMA!
But next-door neighbour, Dotty Sodd, doesn't like that idea at all so decides once more, to open her magical dress-up box and put an end to this nonsense.
Doug and Stan are in for an after-dark challenge but how will they react when their laundry spookily begins to move and what will their VIP do when his beard mysteriously turns pink?
Doug & Stan - The Spooky Cinema is the seventh book by David Richardson in his series of funny, short stories told through rhyme. Fans of Dr. Seuss will love this laugh-out-loud story about an old man and his pet slug's battle with their next-door neighbour and her spooky magic. With broad appeal for children and adults alike and an interwoven message of creativity, The Spooky Cinema provides the perfect stepping stone between picture books and novels.
