When one loses a loved one, the hope is to gain a loved one in return. That is what went through the mind of Victoria Norman, a well-established nurse at Kings County Hospital, after the loss of her father. Praying for a man that would love, respect and cherish her was all that she wanted. And she thought that was what she found when she met Damien Banks. He was handsome, charming, and after some time, loving. He was all that she had prayed and hoped for and then some. That was until she found out that she was pregnant. After some hesitation, she finally opens up and reveals the pregnancy to Damien, only to receive the reaction that she was afraid of getting from the man she loved. When he meets Victoria, he is immediately struck by her beauty and persona. She wasn’t the easy-catch that some girls came across as, and he was willing to take his time playing the cat-and-mouse game. In his eyes, she was worth it. Things became real when he began to fall for her. However, when she reveals her unexpected pregnancy to him, he is more than taken back by the news, because he now realizes that he is now stuck between a rock and a hard place, and he isn’t sure if he will be able to make it out unscathed.
