Digging the Driver
Description
In the most important race of her life, Lissa must team up with her ex-best friend or risk losing Bella forever.
Professional race car driver, Lissa Walker is used to dealing with all sorts of threats, but when a dognapper targets her hometown, it's her Corgi, Bella, who's in danger. Lissa is forced to put aside her personal feelings even if the man she's hired turns out to be her arrogant, too-smart-for-his-own-good, ex-best friend. The man who broke her heart years ago.
Damien has had a lot of strange cases and clients, but this one takes the cake. A celebrity with a power ego and her little dog too. Clearly, Lissa hasn't changed much since she graduated high school, but since the assignment is only temporary, he'll make the best of a bad situation to protect the reputation of his security company.
The troubled history between the two provides more friction than any racetrack ever could, but they'll have to put their past differences aside to keep little Bella safe. Everything else--including the new feelings surging between them--will just have to wait. The race is on...but can they cross the finish line in both life and love?
If you like light mystery mixed in with your happily-ever-after, you'll enjoy this second-chance romance and the race to save an adorable Corgi.
