Die vorliegende Arbeit beschliftigt sich mit drei Fragen: Erstens: Auf welche verschiedenen Anen kann eine Organisation in Abteilungen und Stellen geglieden werden? Zweitens:Was ffirMoglichkeiten gibt es fUr die Art und Weise, in der die Abtei lungen und Stellen einer Organisation miteinander verkehren konnen? Drittens: Was fUr Formen und Methoden stehen fUr die Leitung und FUhrung einer Organisation zur VerfUgung? Jede dieser Fragen ist einer der Hauptteile der Arbeit gewidmet, und in jedem Teil wird zunlichst eine genaue und ausfUhrliche Beschreibung der verschiedenen Lo sungsmoglichkeiten versucht, ehe auf das Problem eingegangen wird, von welchen Umstlinden die Vor- und Nachteile der einzelnen Losungen abhlingen. Auf zwei Gebieten mochte die Arbeit eine LUcke in der bisherigen Organisations literatur ausfiillem Einmal durch eine systematische Darstellung aller der Abhlin gigkeiten, die zwischen den Abteilungen und Stellen einer Organisation auftreten konnen und die die Ursache sind fUr den Zwang zu Zusammenarbeit und gegen seitiger Information; und zum zweiten durch eine eingehende Beschreibung alIer Mischformen zwischen Zentralisation und Dezentralisation in der Leitung, also gerade derjenigen Formen, die in der Praxis weit hliufiger auftreten als die extreme Zentralisation oder Dezentralisation selbst. Da das Manuskript der Arbeit bereits 1953 abgeschlossen war und ein langerer Auslandsaufenthalt den Verfasser hinderte. danach Erglinzungen anzubringen, konnte nurdie Literatur berUcksichtigt werden, die bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt vorlag. Der Verfasser ergreift gem die Gelegenheit, an dieser Stelle Herm Professor Dr. Konrad MelIerowicz fUr seine wenwolIe Hilfe zu danken, ohne die diese Arbeit nicht hlitte verwirklicht werden konnen.
