Der Band enthält die genealogische „Lobrede an Kaiser Ferdinand den Dritten" auf das Haus Österreich, mit „Holstein vergiß eß nicht" eine Beschreibung der norddeutschen Naturkatastrophen 1648 sowie die erste Fassung von Rists Passionsliedern in „Der zu seinem Leiden und Sterben hingeführter ... Christus Jesus". Es handelt sich also im Werke genau aus der Zeit, als Johann Rist 1647 auf Vorschlag von G. Ph. Harsdörffer als „der Rüstige" in die Fruchtbringende Gesellschaft aufgenommen wurde und damit eine weitere Bestätigung seiner Anerkennung im deutschen Sprachraum erfuhr.Mit diesem Band wird die nunmehr auf 12 Bände angelegte Ausgabe der Sämtlichen Werke zügig weiter geführt.
