Jh. wurde unter Grammatik auch Rhetorik, Stil und Sprachkunst subsummiert. Deshalb wurden Sprachlehren oft als Anleitung zur Abfassung von Dichtungen verfasst. Nur die Sprache der Dichtung galt als wertvoll und „rein", die Alltagssprache der unteren Gesellschaftsschichten als „schlecht" und „pöbelhaft". [...]
