My eighteenth birthday isn't what I expected-instead of partying with my friends, I find myself in a hospital, battling a cancer that resists every treatment. I feel hopeless and ready to give up when a mysterious, beautiful man offers me a deal: he will take my cancer, relieve my parents of the burden of medical bills and emotional pain, and in return, he will come for me when I turn twenty-five.
