Pietro e Paolo sono considerati i fondatori del Cristianesimo. In realtà loro fondarono una setta giudeo-cristiana. Il vero fondatore del Cristianesimo, così come lo conosciamo, fu l'imperatore Costantino che aveva interesse a creare una nuova religione di stato per l'impero. Grazie all'intervento di consiglieri e concludendo l'opera con il Concilio di Nicea, fece fondare una religione sincretica che prendeva quanto reputato di interessante da parecchie religioni allora diffuse. Prime fra tutte: Mithra, Apollonio di Thiana, Iside, Sabazio, Serapide, Manicheismo, culti misterici e gli antichi Dei dell'Olimpo e del Walhalla. Dal Giudeo-Cristianesimo ne assunse, come religione, ben poco e dall'Ebraismo sostanzialmente solo la Bibbia. La nuova religione venne strutturata sul culto del Sol Invictus. Il testo narra come si arrivò al Concilio di Nicea e analizza tutte le religioni da cui poco o tanto venne desunto.
