The Princess Ann trilogy begins as James Flint, a young photojournalist, gets the chance of lifetime to accompany the deep space salvage tug, the Princess Ann, as part of his newspaper's quest for real life dramas. On board, he discovers that Captain Junk also rescues oddball characters to serve as his crew. There he'll meet a lady, the Oracle, who will shake his beliefs to very core and introduce him to the concepts of the Enth dimension, concepts that his planet's government has kept hidden. The Princess Ann goes to the rescue of a new super freighter. In their attempt to save it, they will be attacked and James will face certain death if not for the aid of the Oracle.
