These were the chilling final words of a white supremacist cop killer just before his execution. Hours later, Officer Reed Dixon's already precarious world spirals into chaos. The ominous last statement haunts him, marking the beginning of a descent that will change his life forever.

Four years prior, Reed Dixon had left the rural simplicity of Arkansas to become a police officer in the bustling streets of Oklahoma City. His transition from a life of picking cotton and feeding cows to patrolling in a pristine police cruiser was anything but smooth. A brief military stint had done little to prepare him for the complexities of urban life.

As a 22-year-old rookie, Reed is quickly stripped of his naivety through stark encounters at convenience stores, wild parties, and unexpected friendships in the inner city.
