Description
Anne, la maison aux pignons verts retrace l'histoire d'Anne Shirley, une orpheline envoyée par erreur chez Marilla et Matthew Cuthbert, deux frères et sœurs résidant à la ferme familiale des Pignons Verts. L'histoire débute dans la ville fictive d'Avonlea sur l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard, au Canada, lorsque les Cuthbert envisagent d'adopter un garçon pour les assister dans les travaux agricoles.
Cependant, leurs projets se voient compromis lorsqu'une petite fille rousse se présente aux Pignons Verts, en lieu et place du garçon qu'ils avaient demandé. Malgré leurs réticences initiales, ils choisissent de la garder, et Anne s'acclimate progressivement à sa vie à la ferme.
Le roman suit les amitiés d'Anne avec ses camarades de classe, chacun jouant un rôle crucial dans son développement. En grandissant, Anne fait face à des défis et des chagrins, comme la perte d'un être cher et la trahison d'un ami. Malgré tout, sa résilience et son optimisme brillent dans les moments sombres, alors qu'elle apprend le pardon et l'amitié. Les paysages magnifiques de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard offrent le cadre parfait pour qu'Anne réfléchisse à son passé et envisage son avenir.
