When the author moved back to the hobby farm where she grew up, it meant being able to have more than just cats and dogs. Or fish, or hamsters, or birds. It meant chickens of all shapes and sizes. Two miniature horses with outsize personalities. Three alpacas. And one stubborn, lecherous llama.
Add to the mixture wildlife like raccoons, wild turkeys, a bald eagle, a bobcat, and sprinkle in various rabid critters. Season liberally with several packs of very hungry coyotes and you have the perfect recipe for hobby farm mayhem.
