Air Traffic Control Capabilities

New world-wide requirements to equip aircraft for ADS-B surveillance systems provides an opportunity for the USAF to develop and field a lower-cost, more accurate, and integrated Air Traffic Control and Command and Control system. Such a system would improve command and control in military, civilian, and joint civ/mil environments, particularly in areas not suitable for traditional radar operations due to infrastructure, security, or terrain.
