Agave Syrup

If you have been actually wanting to find a new way to sweeten your food, agave syrup may be just the right ingredient you want to start buying. You will mainly be able to purchase the syrup in glass or plastic bottles. You can now find this syrup in general grocery stores and specialty health stores as usual. If that is what you are certainly interested in, you could also find agave in granules or powder as you would like for sugars. This is another convenient way to use a substitute in some recipes, especially baking goods.

Undoubtedly, in this cookbook, we will focus on using agave syrup but feel free, of course, to use the version of agave products you prefer. Just make sure you substitute wisely if you do so, as liquid versus powder will melt or dissolve very differently and, at different times, also adding a different consistency to your sauces or mixtures.
