A Walk in the Amazon
Description
Professor Hendricks and a select few students of the University of Dartford assumed their scheduled research trip to the heart of the Amazon was going to be just like any other. Arriving at ground zero, the small village of Humaita, the university party's first day of jungle living couldn't have been any weirder. As a small group goes missing in the dead of night, a once routine research expedition turns out to be a race against time to save the remaining students and solve the primordial secrets that lurk in the jungle.
Because it doesn't take long until Hendricks realises that there's more to this jungle than he was initially led to believe. Stalked by a mystical python known to the villagers as Ngala-na, the university troop are forced into a fight for survival in this stunning adventure story. Using nothing but their wits and extensive knowledge of animal habitats, the students have to overcome the odds, thousands of miles from home, to even stand a chance of ever seeing their missing friends again.
Seeped in atmosphere and dripping with tension, the otherworldly beauty of the exotic Amazon rainforest is perfectly captured in Boniface Ossai's new novel, A Walk in the Amazon. Terrifying, suspenseful and always action-packed, A Walk in the Amazon packs as much bite as any critter that the rainforest has to offer. From decades-long prophecies to thousand year-old myths, the secrets of the Amazon are ready to be discovered in Boniface Ossai's gripping short story.
