Lady Briana Rosewynn is eager to meet the new Duke of Brocco for whom she decorated a bedchamber, but he is a war-wounded recluse and will not see her. However, his handsome friend, Sir Reginald, and a silver-tongued servant, Darnier, take an interest in her naïveté when they hear how she longs to know more of the world, especially the men's world.
