"本书分为三大部分，即道在其间·创作篇、艺坛文思·理论篇和艺舟漫笔·随笔篇，是作者雕塑生涯思想的结晶。第一部分记录了作者雕塑创作的心得，记述了一个在艺术中行走探索的人内心的感悟。其中不少文字追溯了作者为众多文化名人塑像的经历，表达了作者对他们的感念。第二部分收录了作者作为一位艺术研究学者近年来撰写的一些论文及评论，是作者对自己为艺为学的思路的梳理。第三部分大都是关于艺术、生活、旅行的一些随想，是作者性情的真实流露，在视觉艺术之不可及处，生发出思想与文字的甘泉。
收录在这部文集中的文字，跨度三十余载。全书分三部分。第一部分记录了我雕塑创作的心得，多为在创作之余即兴所写，记述了一个在艺术中行走探索的人内心的感悟。其中不少文字追溯了我为众多文化名人塑像的经历，能得到前辈先贤春风化雨般的教诲，乃我之福分，故而亦借着这些文字表达对他们的感念。第二部分收录的是我作为一位艺术研究学者近年来撰写的一些论文及评论，也算是对自己为艺为学的思路的梳理。文中观点纵非先知高论，却是真实朴素的体会。"修辞立其诚"，扪心自问，大约是做到了。第三部分大都是关于艺术、生活、旅行的一些随想，篇幅虽短，却都是性情趣味的写照。积少成多，倏忽成帙，数十年间所结的文字缘，大抵都在这里了。
于我而言，诗、文皆出于心，是艺术生命承载的形式，亦是一种自我修行的方式。从这个意义上说，此书虽是对我这些年来艺术生涯的一次总结，但更是一场新征程的开端，在此后的岁月里我将更加精进不懈。
李娜博士、尚荣博士、沈军博士、尚莲霞博士为整理书稿做了大量勤恳的工作。内人吴小平女士对文集的编撰给予了长期的支持，女儿吴霜也做了不少工作，令我深为感动。时代华文书局的编辑周海燕则为本书付出了大量心血，其高超的专业水平、严谨细致的工作态度令人叹服。凡此种种，难以缕述，友朋高谊，谨志篇首，并致谢意！

作者简介
吴为山，江苏东台人。国际著名雕塑家，中国美术馆馆长。由于其卓越的成就与影响力被意大利、俄罗斯、乌克兰等多国授予院士，2018年当选为法兰西艺术院通讯院士，成为继吴冠中之后获此殊荣的第二位中国艺术家。获俄罗斯艺术科学院金质奖章、米开朗基罗勋章、"中华之光"年度人物等多项国内外大奖。开创"写意雕塑"论，创作近600件作品，陈列于世界多个国家博物馆和广场。个人雕塑展曾在意大利国家博物馆等多国巡展，代表作有立于德国的《马克思》大型雕塑等。
Shipping & Processing

Processing times
- In stock: Items marked “In Stock” are on our shelves. We pick, pack and ship them within 1–2 business days.
- In stock with our supplier: Items not marked “In Stock” are held by one of our Australian or overseas suppliers. We order them in for you and they usually dispatch within 2–5 business days (3–5 for some suppliers). The estimate next to the price is for this item.
- Special orders: Some supplier items, such as specialist and imported items, titles awaiting reprint and print-on-demand titles, take longer to arrive. If your order includes one, we’ll update you as soon as we hear from our supplier.
- Supplier delays: Occasionally a supplier is delayed, or their stock information turns out to be inaccurate. We’ll keep your order open for up to 60 days. If an item hasn’t shipped or isn’t on its way to us by then, we’ll cancel that item and refund it.
How accurate is availability?
Availability is based on the stock levels our suppliers tell us they hold, and we update it regularly. If a supplier issue affects your order, we’ll let you know with an updated estimate.
Delivery
- As soon as your order ships you’ll get an email with tracking.
- Australia Post usually delivers within 2–10 business days of shipping (around 4 in metro areas and around 6 in regional areas).
- If your order has more than one item, we hold the in-stock items until everything is ready, so we can ship your whole order together in one parcel.
- Shipping cost: Free on orders over $100 within Australia, otherwise $9.95 flat rate per order however many items you buy. Free shipping applies to Australian addresses only; delivery to New Zealand is $14.95 per order.
- Check your address: If an order goes to an incorrect address you gave us, or isn’t collected and Australia Post returns it to us, you’ll need to pay the postage to send it again.
Cancellations
Need to change or cancel an order? Contact us as soon as possible at contact@bookloop.com.au or through our contact page.
- Within 30 minutes: You can change or cancel your order for a full refund within 30 minutes of placing it.
- After 30 minutes: Your order is already being processed, so it can no longer be changed or cancelled. If we can accept a late cancellation, we may offer store credit instead of a refund.
- Items in transit: Once an item is on its way, either from our supplier to us or from us to you, it can’t be cancelled. If you no longer want it once it arrives, you can return it as a change of mind, with return postage at your cost. See Returns.
- Separate orders can’t be combined once they’ve been placed, and adding or swapping items can change the delivery estimate.
- Supplier delays: Occasionally a supplier is delayed, or their stock information turns out to be inaccurate. We’ll keep your order open for up to 60 days. If an item hasn’t shipped or isn’t on its way to us by then, we’ll cancel that item and refund it.

Returns
Damaged or incorrect items (within 30 days)
If an item arrives damaged or isn’t what you ordered, contact us within 30 days of delivery. We may ask for a photo, and if we need the item back we’ll send a prepaid return label, so it costs you nothing. You’ll receive a replacement or refund, as guaranteed under the Australian Consumer Law.
Change of mind (within 30 days)
We offer a refund or store credit for change of mind within 30 days of purchase when:
- you have your proof of purchase;
- the item is unused and in its original condition and packaging;
- it isn’t a sale item, special order, custom item or gift voucher.
You pay the postage to return change-of-mind items. Change-of-mind returns aren’t available for print-on-demand titles or bulk orders with special pricing.
Returned to sender
If an order is sent to an incorrect address you gave us, or isn’t collected and Australia Post returns it to us, you’ll need to pay the postage to send it again.
