張旗東，祖籍浙江寧波，出生上海。成長於上海及湖南長沙。廣州外國語學院（現廣東外貿外語大學）英國文學本科，新華社北京國際部記者、編輯。1987年旅美，獲美國阿肯色州立大學政治系碩士，南加州大學電視新聞碩士學位。歷任美國公司營銷及市場開發高管。資深媒體人。
Born in Shanghai and grew up in Shanghai and Changsha, Hunan Province, Qidong Zhang (Kelly) was a news reporter/editor for Xinhua News Agency in Beijing before she came to the U.S in 1987. A veteran and senior executive in corporate/startup high tech sales, marketing, business development and media, she holds B.A. in English Literature from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, M.A. in Political Science from Arkansas State University (ASU), and M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Annenberg School for Communications at University of Southern California (USC).
