This book compiles fourteen stories I wrote for "Water Margin" between 2012 and 2022. "Water Margin" is the oldest, most complex, and most vividly profound novel in the canon of Chinese classical literature. Like countless readers through the ages, I have been deeply captivated by it, to the extent that I audaciously took up the pen to explore the boundless possibilities of its characters and narratives. Years ago, I also gathered with many fellow creators in a corner of the Internet, "cups in hand", "talk and laughter mingles then, and weapons are compared". Although times and people change, I believe many of us still regard this beyond-the-bounds grassland and riverside as our most cherished spiritual homeland. "Water Margin" is a living book that has continued to grow for centuries. Its endless vitality springs from every pen that writes for it.
