The Importance of the PPP in a Public School in Belém do Pará - Brazil

This book is based on research carried out at the "15 de Outubro" State Elementary School in the Guamá neighbourhood, located in the city of Belém do Pará, Brazil, which aimed to show the process of drawing up the Political-Pedagogical Project (PPP) at the school, considering the process of participation, evaluation, importance and challenges for its implementation. The data was obtained through interviews. The PPP is very important in school organisation and is the guiding principle of any educational institution, as the school would not function without its own identity. In addition, it is necessary for everyone to participate, as this builds a democratic decision-making relationship. Thus, drawing up and implementing the PPP is essential for all schools, as it makes the school more organised and prepared to deal with the implications that will arise during the school year, generating a harvest of fruit in the school life of the entire community involved.
