Shakespeare's late plays - Pericles, Cymbeline, The Winter's Tale, and The Tempest - have provoked a great deal of interest in the modern theatre. This is an innovative study of the rehearsal process, which shows how discussion between cast, stage management, and observers can focus the principal issues in the plays and produce fresh interpretations.
