Kara Dolan, a successful author, had her world turned upside down by her husband Michael's murder. She rejects the police's assertion that the shooting was random, driven by remorse and grief. Until her very public collapse forces her to comply with her stepmother's request to see a doctor, she tries to make sense of the unfathomable.
