This book is dedicated to the brats and rebels who do not eat fruit and vegetables. The authors, Swonild Ilenia Genovese and Gaia Catalano, in a nice way and with a lot of joy, want to represent what, after all, each of us was as a child. The idea of this story was born on the artistic subjects created by G. Catalano, simple creations but with an immediate visual impact for children, made with fruit and vegetables and not just with peels or scraps. This gave the author, Swonild Ilenia Genovese, the idea to create Lily's adventure. The author has a wonderful memory of when as a child at the end of the meal she used to play with her grandmother to create baskets with the peel of the mandarins or when she played with the peel of the peach or even with that of the banana by cutting it into small pieces. The author is sure that many of you have played with fruit peels on your plate at least once in your life. The idea that led the writer to choose this title and which is the basis of the story, however, is that the drawings were still edible, i.e., made with fruit and vegetables that could still be eaten in order to reconcile the idea of the game with trying new taste and flavours. In this way the child will be able to create a drawing and then eat it, so as to experiment not only with the handling of food but also with new tastes. Above all, it is hoped that the child will be encouraged to overcome rejection through play.
