Lightning Quick

Meet Rick Jeffries: Brilliant, impulsive, stubborn.

Summer of 1997 proves to be too much for eighteen year old Rick Jeffries. Packed with his quick temper and black belt in karate, Rick moves down south to be with his aunt Isabel and Uncle Russell Jeffries. With his cousins Todd and Stephanie, he learns to relax and make a fresh start. Rick begins to fall in love with the beautiful and lovely Crystal Stone. Escaping his reputation as a rebel, everything looks hopeful for a change.

Police have no leads when women begin turning up dead and dismembered, worse each time. With his nephew's help, Detective Russell Jeffries is on the case. Trying to escape his past, Rick is forced into using his martial arts when a close friend becomes the next target. Who's the perpetrator and what's the motive?

Now with his love in full bloom with Crystal, the two are caught up in the case detective Russell is trying to solve. With his brilliance, Rick aids his uncle in a fast paced thriller of murder, passion and most importantly -- love. Never realizing he could feel such strong emotions, his patience and skills are put to the ultimate test.
