Inclusive Design: A Universal Need

Inclusive Design- A Universal Need reaches beyond the successes and challenges of universal design since the inception of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990 and its amendment in 2008. Fully covering CIDA accreditation standards that include both the application of ADA as well as universal design, this textbook further specifies how an inclusive approach to residential, commercial, product design, and technology creates accessible and aesthetically pleasing environments and tools for everyone to use together-not only for the aging or differently abled, the tall or the short, but for all. Inclusive design is nondiscriminatory design.
