This book was written during the Great Depression, by the acting head of the West Australian Mint, Major Hugh Corbet, who felt that such a guide might give work and some wealth to those without work. While offering specificis for West ern Australian mining, it works as a general guide Australia-wide, with hints on all styles of Gold prospecting, the use of explosives and setting up a cyaniding treatment plant. Out of print since 1960, now in its 11th edition into Imprint Classics.
