Description
Vince Charles was just helping out a friend and picking up a few bucks on the side. Three weeks later he realized he had stumbled into a web of slick con artists whose only purpose in life is to take as much money as possible from unsuspecting marks. Much to his surprise, Vince finds that gold fever is not just something dreamed up by novel writers. He watched as normal people, who hesitate to buy a five dollar Lottery ticket, invest thousands in wild schemes to reclaim missed gold from mines long ago depleted of any real value or water purification projects based on fuzzy science. But the real story is how these cons work together to promote not just one "game" but several. Vince finds himself up to his neck in insider trading, arbitrage, and cutting edge technology, all tools of the scam artist. International borders, off-shore banking, and out-classed law enforcement all add to the mystery, suspense, and danger surrounding these career criminals.
If you have ever wondered how people can fall for get rich quick scams, then follow Vince Charles as he unravels some of the scams of a small group of criminals intent on taking your money.
