Applying and adopting a Data Governance program is not a simple task. This paper summarizes in a structured way the strategy with which we approach a project that seeks to accelerate the cultural transformation of the organization, through the implementation of a data management program. The result of what is exposed in this book is the product of the effort and work of a team of people who had the capacity to transform their traditional structure of thought.The project focuses on an Oil & Gas industry Asset, takes critical processes from the E&P area and, based on a data management framework, proposes a roadmap that builds the foundations to positively impact them, facilitating and accelerating the achievement of business objectives.The book presents in its content experiences developed between 2010 and 2012, although its validity remains latent. This publication seeks to guide those who have the need to work on these issues, to reinforce concepts and forms for those who already have a path to follow and finally to awaken the interest of those who are still skeptical.
