Prodotti cinque-sei anni dopo [01] Musica-società, i due libri forniscono un documento prezioso sulle prime esperienze di base dell'autore e sui loro effetti su società e territorio. Pur con tutte le limitazioni di queste prime pubblicazioni dichiaratamente metaculturali, il risultato è notevole. In esse è già formulata (all'inizio dei primi anni Ottanta) l'idea portante del pensiero e della pratica di Porena per i successivi quattro decenni, l'ipotesi metaculturale (IMC), ed entrambi i testi hanno uno spiccato carattere di "manuale da campo", prova materiale dell'operosità di un gruppo e del riconoscimento degli attori istituzionali che proprio in quegli anni stanno "toccando con mano" i frutti dell'iniziativa.
